Judge Information
Individuals at the undergraduate level and above, including college students, graduate students, and professionals, are welcome to judge projects in person at the YWHRS this fall. The symposium will take place in a Metro-Detroit venue, with a specific location and date set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Judging duties will include listening to ~10minute presentations from 3-5 students about their research projects in women's health and related disparities, asking follow-up questions, and scoring each student. A judging rubric, scoring sheets, and judging schedule will be provided.
Although the event will last around 4 hours including an opening ceremony and awards, judges can choose to only stay for their judging portion (~1-1.5hrs). However, we would sincerely appreciate if judges could remain at the venue for the entire duration of the event so that students can ask questions, network, and develop professional connections.
